The Mayo Clinic Research Science Explorers Post (a division of InSciEd Out) provides high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors an opportunity to conduct authentic science through community-based team projects with a focus on human health and health careers.
The InSciEd Out Science post allows students to explore science in both large and small group experiences. Explorers will meet together on the third Monday of each month to learn about and discuss different areas of science, cutting edge research projects and techniques and projects Explorers are participating in. New this year is the STEM Squad, an opportunity for Explorers to use their skills and knowledge to provide volunteer science and technology services to the Rochester community. All students will be supervised by their mentor, and they will access resources from Mayo Clinic research laboratories as needed.
